Wuji Qigong Meditation- sit or stand 5-20 minutes

- feet shoulder width apart, knees open
- shoulders relax, drop eyelids, mind quiet, watching & thinking
- tip of tongue to roof of mouth behind upper teeth
- breathe in thru nose & breathe out thru nose with diaphragm not chest
- focus on breathing & relaxing on abdomen, from the inside
- open arms, check tip of fingers
- can do visualization
- visualize sitting on rock on top of mountain; focus on horizon as continue breathing,
- visualize floating in air, gentle breeze around
Hunyuan Qigong Meditation – stand 5-20 minutes
- embrace the dantian
- wuji stance hands on dantian (women – right hand over left; men – left hand over right) Dantian – 3 fingers below the navel
- laogong connected inside
- feet shoulder width apart, knees open, shoulders relax
- drop eyelids, mind quiet, watching & thinking
- tip of tongue to roof of mouth behind upper teeth
- focus on breathing & relaxing on abdomen
Gather energy – preparation for sitting position meditation
- breathe in as open arms to side – opening channel
- breathe out all air as slowly lower arms
- breathe in as raise hands palms up
- breathe out as expand arms outward from chest level to side palms up – open up the joint
- breathe in as bring arms to center of chest, hands facing outward
- breathe out as lower arms to lap or the side
Standing meditation
- wuji stance, hands on sides or on dantian
- elbow nice & round, not straight
- embrace & round shoulder
- fingers warm, feel chest clear & full, feet light, balance & comfortable
- mind is quiet
- loosen all joints of ankles, knees, hips, spine, shoulders, elbows, wrist & fingers
- don’t lock any joints
- when joints are loosened, shoulders naturally relax & elbows drop softly
